Chatowata is a social media communication, automation, and advertising management platform that enables authorized users to manage Facebook Pages, Messenger communications, and advertising assets through official Meta (Facebook) APIs.

1. Permissions Requested

Chatowata requests certain permissions solely to provide its core features and services. These permissions may include:

• email – to identify and authenticate users
• pages_show_list – to display Facebook Pages managed by the user
• pages_read_engagement – to access Page engagement information such as comments and reactions
• pages_manage_metadata – to manage webhook subscriptions and messaging events
• pages_messaging – to send and receive Messenger messages on behalf of connected Pages
• pages_utility_messaging – to send approved follow-up and customer support messages
• business_management – to access business assets including Pages and advertising accounts
• ads_read – to retrieve advertising analytics and performance insights
• ads_management – to create, manage, and optimize advertising campaigns

All permissions are requested only after user authorization and are used exclusively for approved platform functionality.

2. How Information Is Used

Information accessed through Meta APIs is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Displaying connected Pages and advertising accounts
• Managing Messenger communications and customer interactions
• Providing social media automation and business communication tools
• Analyzing engagement, advertising performance, and account insights
• Managing, monitoring, and optimizing advertising campaigns

Chatowata does not use Facebook or Meta data for resale, profiling, unauthorized marketing activities, or any purpose unrelated to the services provided by the platform.

3. Data Storage Policy

Chatowata does not permanently store, archive, or maintain databases containing Facebook user information.

Information retrieved through authorized APIs is processed in real time only for executing requested actions and delivering platform functionality.

The platform does not permanently retain:

• User profile information
• Messenger conversation histories
• Advertising datasets or campaign records
• Page engagement metrics and interaction data

4. Data Sharing

Chatowata does not sell, rent, transfer, disclose, or share Facebook or Meta user data with third parties.

All integrations and API communications are performed securely through official Meta infrastructure and approved access mechanisms.

5. User Rights & Access Revocation

Users may revoke Chatowata's access at any time through their Facebook or Meta account settings.

Once access permissions are revoked, associated access tokens become invalid and Chatowata will no longer be able to retrieve, process, or interact with Facebook-related data.

6. Data Deletion Information

Since Chatowata does not permanently store Facebook user data, no persistent Facebook data remains on our systems after access has been revoked.
